FAQ - How do I know if practice is running?

18 May 2024 by TKC

Want to go practice tomorrow but not sure if it’s running? Here’s how to work it out.

THINGS TO KNOW:

Practice will always be listed in the App Calendar but that doesn’t mean it will automatically go ahead. That’s because a qualified KAC is required to activate the session.
So we’ve added an explanatory note to each practice session in the App Calendar to make it a bit more clear to our members.

The easiest and best way to check if a session is going ahead is to check the Duty Roster for that session.
A good example of that is tomorrow’s practice session at Wanneroo (Sunday 19th of May).
Have a peek at the session’s Duty Roster and Comments section to see how our KAC’s Dave Hall and David Coveney have done it :)

If you’re a KAC, then you’re always welcome to open the track if it’s listed on the App Calendar. Just assign yourself as KAC and we’ll do the rest to get it up on KOMP.

IMPORTANT: Please don’t assign yourself as KAC if you are not an officially and currently qualified KAC. This will have serious implications for our Club.

How to assign yourself as a current and officially qualified KAC.
Go to the App Calendar.
Click on the practice session you’d like to run.
Click on the Duty Roster icon for that session.
Click on “Assign to Me”.
Click on “Comments” and indicate the time you’ll be acting as KAC.

It’s really that easy :)
